When I blogged my last 2 or 3 posts, I hand't yet read Marty Peretz's lament for the Democrats. It is perfectly in tune with Peter Beinart's (the two have basically had a mind-meld, I think) and more eloquent because more despairing. And it echoes much of what I was saying in my own posts. If I were a Democrat still, I would be despairing, too.
