I don't know how many people caught the original post the prompted this response - I thought it was rather too long and unoriginal - but this response from Xavier Basora posted at Winds of Change.NET on the subject of the so-called "Anglosphere" and whether it constitutes a unique civilization is well-worth reading, as a corrective to some of the overblown rubbish that has been extruded on the subject.
